Councillor
Richard has lived in Balsall Common since 1991. He has been a Balsall Parish Councillor since 2019. His children attended both BC Primary School and Heart of England secondary school. Now retired, Richard is a Management Accountant with a degree in Business Studies. He was born and grew up on a family dairy farm in rural East Devon. His career spanned a number of industries but from 1990-2012 he was a property accountant with Barclays at Westwood Heath (and London). Richard is a keen walker and until recently horse-rider and skier. He was for 6 years Treasurer of the Balsall Common U3A and still leads walks and arranges theatre trips for them. As a former TAVR soldier he is a member of The Parachute Regiment Association. Richard is also a councillor of Berkswell Parish.
